Baby got the Blues..

Johnny has finally figured out to play the harmonica he got for Christmas. He takes it pretty seriously and is totally impressed with himself. We think it's pretty great, too. (although noisy) He gets really into a times; dancing around and bobbing his head while he plays. I love how he enjoys music and instruments. When he's not playing the harmonica, he's either strumming his belly like a guitar or violently shaking his maracas. As loud as it can get, I prefer those noises a hundred times more than silly electronic toys.

Thank you for your well wishes and prayers. I count you all as friends and feel very humbled by all the kind words from both the people who know me well and those who have never even met me. Thank you, thank you!
Life is about to get very busy for us in the coming weeks. I think I will be taking a little blogging break. Maybe I will just post some photos here and there. I'll be back to tell all about it, though!

Annie, great pic. We have 2 harmonicas at our house...and they are well used. Last night about an hour after we put our older 3 to bed we heard harmonica music coming from the girls room. Well, Emma had a long nap yesterday and I guess she wasn't all that tired so she needed to make a little music from her bed. It was so cute to listen to...and she didn't wake her siblings...even better! May your up coming weeks be non-stressful.

What a funny guy. Basil got a ukulele for christmas and he has devised his own playing methods...i think he has trouble holding it the "conventional" way!

Hope you week is productive and peaceful...and do tell, the suspense has peaked my curiosity.

What a great idea!! We quickly learned from all the Fisher Price gifts from my folks that Aidan is much, much more interested in throwing things on the tile floor and batting them around to see how they move and what noises they make. It has made me get creative about what kind of toys to give him (newest additions are koosh balls and slinkies!!). I love the harmonica idea- maybe when he's bigger.

Jason has a harmonica that Hannah loves to play with. There's something relaxing about hearing it, not nearly as annoying as some other noises.

Hi annie! Just wanted to join in on the congratulations on your good news! I am always so excited to hear about friends having babies-there is something about that kind of news that though it be common it never gets old. Children are such a miracle and blessing! I hope you begin to regain strength and energy in the coming weeks. I have been absent from the blogging myself..it tends to fall by the wayside when life gets busy.
