It's About Time...

For the first time. I guess growing up overseas (missionary kid) made me think I didn't really care. I am a voter now, promise.

Hooray! I always get a proud, patriotic feeling on these days as I wear my little sticker around. I definitely felt like a trooper today, thinking I'd take the girls on a leisurely walk to the polls...which turned out to be a mile away...uphill. Ahhhh, freedom.

Sara and I voted yesterday morning...dude, senior citizens and electronic voting machines are a bad combo. Talk about slowwwwww.

Yay, Annie! I didn't know you were a missionary kid. Neato.

Aaron - LOL. I so whitnessed the same combo, but with one more ingredient, how do I say this? Hmm.
Senior citizens, electronic voting machines, and the mentally challenged people actually running the process is a very slow and painful combo.

I'm a jerk. Sorry. Forgive me.

Helpful Hint: vote absentee.

Evan and I went in the evening and took Johnny with us. We were all prepared for a horrible wait and an impatient baby. Two voting machines were open when we arrived and we were in and out within ten minutes since we had made all our choices prior to arriving. Sounds like our experience was not the norm but I was pleased and the elderly people were not terribly speedy but they were incredibly friendly and entertained my son.

Honestly, I enjoy the voting experience, being out with my fellow citizens and all.
